About our school

Great Kingshill is a school in which your children will encounter a happy atmosphere that is both stimulating and caring and will help your child achieve their potential.

We are extremely proud of all that goes on here. As our website demonstrates, the children are supported in their learning by dedicated staff, governors and parents.

History of our School

A school has stood on this site since 1874, the original funding coming from members of the Disraeli family (who lived in Hughenden Manor and Eton College).

The School opened with 15 pupils and has expanded in phases over the intervening years and now has more than 400 pupils. We educate the children of the parish of Hughenden and we continue to dedicate ourselves to providing every child in our care with the best possible education.

We are proud that at the end of their Primary School lives our pupils step out into the world as well-rounded achievers, who care for each other and their community.

We are a Voluntary Aided School with Oxford Diocese. We have close links with St Michael and All Angels Church, Hughenden, serving the parish and Great Kingshill village as a Local Authority school.

Our facilities have grown from a single classroom and now include 14 classrooms, an ICT suite, an adventure playground and Wildlife Area used for our Forest Schools project.
